Your Questions
If you still have a question unanswered after looking at the information below then feel free to get in touch by completing our contact form or give us a call.
What designers do you stock / where does your stock come from?
We are authorised stockists for Nieve Couture, Private Label by G’s Ella Rosa Gallery Collection, Mary’s Bridal/Rachel Allen, Victoria Kay Gowns, Patricia Eve Bodywrap, Bianco Evento, Twilight Designs LoveItSoMuch and Richard Designs. However, the discontinued/ex-display lines are normally bought in as retirement stock/overruns from other retailers in the UK and can therefore be by various other well-known bridal designers. We have a very eclectic mix of styles and designs which lends itself to a great shopping experience!
Are evening or Sunday appointments available?
We can sometimes offer Sunday appointments yes but unfortunately due to our location within the Shopping Centre we are not able to offer evening appointments.
Do you buy/sell second hand (pre-loved) dresses?
No. All of our dresses are new or ex-display.
When should I buy my wedding dress?
This is probably the most comment question we get asked. There is no right or wrong time. We have sold dresses to customers with three years to go till their wedding and sold to customers with only 3 weeks to go! Ideally you should look at purchasing or ordering a dress 9-12 months before the wedding. Our made to order range takes around 3-5 months to arrive and we like to allow 1-2 months for any alterations.
What about alterations?
We can recommend several self-employed seamstresses local to us who will do any alterations needed. They are all professional, reasonably priced and experienced. You would arrange a consultation with your chosen seamstress and schedule in your fitting dates to see her at her own home studio. Most people will need to have some form of alteration done to their dress. Alterations costs vary dependent on the work that is required but are paid to the seamstress by the customer. Alterations normally start 6-8 weeks before the wedding.
What about dry cleaning?
We can recommend two companies who are professional bridalwear dry cleaners. As you can expect, some of the ex-sample gowns we sell may need a dry clean.
What sizes do you have?
We try to stock a good selection of all sizes usually 8-24 but any queries please contact us before your visit. Please bear in mind that the seamstresses can make adjustments to ensure the perfect fit. Our made to order ranges are available to order in sizes usually 2-32 and some offer a made to measure service as well.
How should I store my purchased gown?
Either flat or hung and we would suggest somewhere room temperature out of dampness and direct sunlight and within a breathable material such as cotton. We can provide gown carriers too.
Is it true that I will need to go up a dress size or two in bridalwear?
It can be true it really does depend on the designer. We would encourage you to try different sizes anyway as we know what the seamstresses are capable of doing to ensure a good fit.
Can I bring people with me to my bridal appointment?
Of course, and we would welcome that. We would suggest no more than three however, due to limited seating space. Whilst we welcome children to our shop we would kindly request that a responsible adult supervises them at all times.
Do I need to bring anything specific with me to my bridal appointment?
Just an open mind! Although it’s a good idea to wear supportive nude coloured underwear and minimal makeup/fake tan please.
Do you sell bridesmaid dresses or prom gowns?
No unfortunately we do not.
Do you sell petticoat/underskirts?
Yes we are able to order them for customers but we also hire them out too.
What payment forms do you take?
We accept cash and credit/debit cards but not cheques. We do not accept American Express.
Do you accept refunds and exchanges?
No, all monies paid are non-refundable and we do not offer exchanges or credit notes. This does not affect your statutory rights. Full terms and conditions available upon request.
